TV presenter arrested after ramming police horse with car


  • An America television presenter and former New York Police Department detective has been arrested after driving into a police horse with his car.

    Mike Sheenan struck the horse on North Moore Street in Greenwich Village in Manhattan, New York on Monday night (30 March) at around 10.30pm.

    The horse suffered minor leg injuries and bruising to the chest. It bolted from the scene and was found by officers a block away.

    The police officer was taken to hospital with injuries to his right leg.

    Mr Sheenan is charged with causing injury to an animal and refusing to be breathalysed.
