The Austin’s Touchwood Stud closes its doors
Touchwood Stud, run by Dave and Gemma Austin in Hungerford Park, Berks, has shut down.
“A combination of personal, health and financial reasons mean we have been left with little choice but to close our doors,” Gemma told H&H.
“It is very sad, particularly after one of our most successful seasons, and we want to say thank you to all our clients and staff.”
Touchwood’s resident stallions included Carousel, Samba Hit III and Grafenstoltz (sport horse special feature, 7 April).
“My efforts now are going towards winding up the stud and selling off the stock,” added Gemma.
