Teenager in hospital after being crushed by horse
A 14-year-old rider is in a serious condition in hospital after a horse collapsed on top of her.
The accident happened in Great Witchingham in Norfolk yesterday (Wednesday, 3 August) at around 3pm. She was assessed at the scene and then airlifted to Addenbroke’s Hospital in Cambridge with a serious head injury.
The horse reportedly collapsed and died and was already dead when the emergency services were called.
A Norfolk Constabulary says it is in the “early stage of investigations” but that it appears to have been a “tragic accident”.
