Sussex man dies after his car crashes into a horse


  • A 33-year-old man has died after his car was in a collision with a loose horse in East Sussex last week.

    Richard Parkes was driving a Vauxhall Vectra on the A23 at Westfield Lane, near Hastings, on Monday 20 October when he was involved in the incident.

    The Vectra collided with the horse and then with a Fiat Punto that was travelling in the opposite direction. The Punto driver, a 23-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries.

    The horse was killed.
