Moonwalking Shetland pony becomes internet sensation

  • A moonwalking Shetland pony has become an internet phenomenon.

The video, an advert for mobile phone company Three, has been a hit on the television as well as online.

The dancing pony, otherwise known as Socks, throws some shapes, thanks to a little CGI help, on the cliffs of Eshaness, to “Everywhere” by Fleetwood Mac.

In the first weekend it had more than 1million views on YouTube.

And you can even join top riders like Ben Maher by making your own dancing pony video clip with a web-based app hosted on YouTube, ponymixer.com

According to Second Sync, which analyses twitter conversations, there were more than 14,000 tweets about the video within first five hours to the hashtag #danceponydance
