Irish Western rider scoops €5.7m on the Lotto
An Irish Western rider has no need to rein-back her spending after winning €5.7m ( £4.7m) on the Irish Lotto.
Giustina Macari, who works in her family’s fish and chip shops in Kildare, won half of Ireland’s biggest rollover jackpot this year.
She bought a €10 ticket from her local newsagents on Saturday.
Giustina is a keen Western rider and is part of the Horse Sport Ireland team, competing in barrel racing at Haras Raphaela, Brazil last month.
She told the Irish Independent: “I absolutely love horses so I will definitely use my money to pursue my passion, but I have not come down off the clouds enough yet to think about what else I might do.”
