Looking to meet like-minded horsey people in your area?
A new app has been launched by HorseyHotties to enable you to meet up with fellow equestrian enthusiasts.
Twenty-six-year-old Ginny Rose – who founded and launched the equestrian online dating website HorseyHotties.com in 2009 – hopes the new HorseyHotties iPhone app will take the brand beyond online dating and fully in to the world of social networking.
“The app uses the GPS in your smart phone to determine your location. Wherever you are in the world the closest ‘HorseyHotties’ to you will be visible,” she said.
“If you are at the races, Badminton, Olympia or the polo you would be able to see who is closest to you and find out a little bit of information.
“The app affectively enables users to strike up a real time conversion with someone who could only be 20m away but you may never have spoken to before.
“Coming from an eventing background and now working in racing, it was clear to me that there seemed to be a lack of crossover between equestrian spheres.
“Equestrianism is wonderfully diverse and I hope that though the app, horsey people from around the globe will be able to make even more connections across the equestrian world as a whole.”
The HorseyHotties app is free to download with an additional ‘in app’ monthly subscription option to access premium features such as who’s viewed you, unlimited favourites and messaging, posting more images and connect to your own Twitter, facebook or LinkedIn profile.
You can download HorseyHotties from the app store and is currently available on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, with an Android version in development due to be released middle of 2012.
