Horse & Hound Online has topped a survey of websites by the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA)., was used by 42% of respondents — some 13% more visitors than for the British Horse Society.

The same survey, conducted independently by SportsWise, found that 83% of riders and owners now have access to the internet. Although 19% of all purchases, including saddles, other tack or horsewear, are made via the internet, specialist retailers remain the preferred option.
