Horse dies and rider injured in hit-and-run in America
Police in Ohio are hunting for the driver of a hit-and-run accident that killed a horse and injured a rider.
Stephanie Crowder was riding on Cincinnati-Brookville Road in Ross at 3am on Wednesday (11 February) when she was hit by a four wheel drive.
She was found with head injuries and taken to hospital where she is reported to be recovering.
The horse was found dead at the scene.
The vehicle was found crashed and abandoned nearby and the local sheriffs department believe the driver fled on foot.
Local authorities said that they did not know why she was out riding at that time of the morning.
