Help horses by taking part in the National Equine Health Survey

  • Horse owners could win a professional photo shoot with their horse by taking part in Blue Cross’ National Equine Health Survey (NEHS) this week.

Owners of horses, ponies, donkeys and mules are being urged to take part in the survey, which runs until Monday (13 May).

It aims to improve the health and welfare of horses in the UK.

The twice-yearly survey will help discover more about common health issues such as coughs, skin diseases and lameness.

Kerry Doyle, from the Blue Cross, said: “We owe it to our horses to keep them in the best possible health and the survey is a quick and easy way of taking direct action.”

The NEHS is run in partnership with the British Equine Veterinary Association and is sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health.

Anyone who takes part will automatically be entered into the competition, which also has five pairs of Ariat mudbuster boots to give away.
