Awards for the best stands at BETA International announced

  • The winners of the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) Best Stand Awards at their 2012 trade fair have been announced.

Puffa took the Best Large Stand title (32 metres and over), with Horseware Ireland as runners-up.

The judges said: “[Puffa had] a striking stand that was bold and simple. Staff were approachable and extremely clued-up about their brand.”

The winners of the Best Small Stand – 32 metres and under – was Gabriella Shaw Ceramics.

“This stand [had] attractive displays of UK products with gifts for all ages, which appealed to everyone – not just equestrians,” said the judges.

“Members of staff could not do enough for visitors and were extremely accommodating.”

Country-goods supplier Ella London was the runner-up of the Best Small Stand award.

The awards were judged by The Wine and Hamper Company’s Tony Morley, and Jennifer Dixon-Clegg from the show’s charity, The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy.

Every exhibitor was automatically entered into the Best Stand Awards, sponsored by The Wine and Hamper Company.

Factors considered by the judges included the overall shape, accessibility, lighting, stock display and the staff themselves.

BETA’s Claire Thomas said: “Stands of this calibre require a huge amount of time, planning and consideration.

“We are extrememly pleased to honour our exhibitors’ efforts in this way and we have some very worthy winners once again.”
