  • Stratford racecourse was presented with the highest award for owners’ raceday experience last month (Sunday 20 July.)

The racecourse is the 20th holder of the long-established gold standard award, given by the Racehorse Owners Association (ROA).

Paul Duffy, an ROA council member said: “We have been particularly impressed by the improvements to the owners’ facilities.”

Owners now receive a minimum of six badges per runner, and Stratford tries to meet “any reasonable requests” for extra badges, especially for syndicates.

The food offering has also been improved, with owners given the choice of a complimentary carvery meal, a voucher, or discount in the restaurant.

Other changes include a new owners’ and trainers’ bar area.
