Sponsorship news in the UK horse industry


  • British Horse Feeds has added three new members to the “Speedi-Beet Team“, who will act as ambassadors for the company. Rebecca Wright who enjoys showing, dressage rider Nikki Hawkins and eventer Katie Patrick were selected from hundreds of applicants.

    Childéric Saddles UK will be supporting the European CIC** Championships for the second year running. The event  will be held in Austria for British Riding Club members in July.

    Driving magazine Inharness will be sponsoring a new championship class for registered native breeds at Driving Addington on 28 September.

    Tweed clothing company Timothy Foxx has announced that it will be working with eventer Gemma Tattersall. “Not only is [Gemma] a super talented rider with a great reputation, but she looks fantastic in our clothes,” said Rosalie Eustace from the company.

    Event rider Andrew Heffernan — who was part of the Dutch team at London 2012 — will be sponsored by bit company Neue Schule.

    Showjumper Michaela Huntington, 27, will be sponsored by Taurus Footwear, whose collection ranges from wellies to competition boots.

    Hat company Charles Owen has announced that it will contiune to support the Pony Racing Authority’s racecourse series this year. The company has sponsored it since 2005. There are 25 fixtures and the finals will be held at York racecourse on 8 September.

    Equestrian Sports New Zealand has announced a new sponsorship arrangement that provides cars to its 2012 bronze medal-winning Olympic eventing Team.  Sema Lease UK, in partnership with Kastner Volvo of Exeter, has agreed to provide Volvo XC60 vehicles to the eventing team until the Rio Olympics in 2016. Richard Ames of Sema Lease is one of Caroline Powell’s owners.
