Ariat to sponsor Olympic showjumpers Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Markus Beerbaum
Equestrian clothing company Ariat has announced its sponsorship of husband and wife Markus and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum.
Meredith was the first female showjumper to be ranked number 1 in the world. She was forced to miss the European Championships due to a spinal compression but will now be aiming for the World Equestrian Games in France next year and the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Her husband Markus has been a top, international showjumper since 1990. He is achievements include winning team gold at the World Championships and team gold at the European Championships.
“Having two show jumping icons like Meredith and Markus join the Ariat team is a real honor,” said Melanie Selman from Ariat Europe.
“They are extremely accomplished riders that bring extraordinary grace and true athleticism to the sport of international showjumping.”
Meredith and Markus are both based in Thedinghausen, Germany.
