The 2024 Olympic eventing format which will be used in Paris is similar to the format used at the last Olympics in Tokyo.

Teams will have just three combinations, with all three scores counting, but there are complex rules allowing a reserve to be substituted into the team after the competition starts, in certain circumstances.
