Mary King reflects on her Olympic eventing team call-up

  • Following an incredible 2011 season, Mary King has been selected for the British Olympic eventing team. She will be riding Imperial Cavalier, with whom she won team gold at the Kentucky World Equestrian Games in 2010.

Having represented Britain at five Olympic Games, including collecting team silver in Athens 2004 and team bronze in Hong Kong 2008, Mary will contest her sixth Olympics in London and she is hoping to add the missing gold to her Olympic medal collection.

Mary talks to Chris Stafford Radio about what it means to have made the team, her hopes for London 2012 and why she couldn’t have achieved so much without the support of her owners and her family.
