A new format is being introduced to eventing in Rio with only 4 riders competing in the team competition. In addition each team will also be entitled to a travelling reserve.

Performance director Will Connell said: “This is an extremely generous offer of support and will allow even greater support to be given to the riders and horses as they prepare for Rio.”

The Horse Trials Support Group will cover the travel expenses for the official travelling reserve rider, horse, groom and up to two owners.
