New stabling for Dressage at Hickstead

  • As part of the continuing improvements being put in place at Dressage at Hickstead this year the site will be using new temporary stabling.

Following some criticism of the boxes used in the past, organiser Dane Rawlins will this year have 200 stables of a new design in place for the Premier League meeting, 25 – 29 July and by the date of the CDIO, now being held 22/26 August.

The new stables manufactured by Stables On Site Ltd, arebased on a galvanised steel construction and are made of a plasticised fibre matrix. They all have 8ft partitions and an overhang.

Dane Rawlins said: “We recognise that there have been some problems with the old style stables and we knew we had to make some improvements. The new stables are bigger and are also much easier to clean and disinfect and are therefore more hygienic.”

The Dressage at Hickstead ball will be held on the night of Saturday 25 August, during the CDIO meeting which will runin conjunction with the Hickstead show jumping Derby meeting.

Meanwhile, Dressage at Hickstead has also launched a new dedicated website, including information of all dressage competitions, new stabling and application for ball tickets.
