What’s new: Limelight reflectives

As the gloomy weather closes in and the numbers of road accidents involving horses increase, riders are increasingly aware of the need to make sure they are easy to see on the roads.

Airowear has a new range of reflective products called Limelite, which are designed to ensure you can stay safe and look good at the same time. The range includes a waistcoat, hat band, leg bands and exercise sheet — all available in smart navy with lime green reflexite tape and piping for high visibility.

The waistcoat is made from hard-wearing, water-resistant 4oz PU nylon material with lime green chevron strips front and back for high visibility from all angles. It has a zip fastening at the front and has hook and loop adjustments for a comfortable fit over a variety of clothing. Available in medium and large sizes. Cost at around £19.

The elasticated hat band is made from 1in elastic tape, to fit most hat sizes, with two strips of lime green tape to give good visibility from front and rear. Available in either black or navy to compliment your hat’s colour. Cost at around £5.

Leg bands can be a good way of alerting traffic to your presence as the movement of the horse’s legs helps attract the driver’s attention. Made from navy cotton fabric lined with a lime green strip, the bands are sold in pairs, in pony and cob/horse size. Cost at around £10.

And finally, the shaped exercise sheet is made of the same 4oz PU nylon as the waistcoat, piped with lime green with a green fleece lining. Great for keeping your horse snug and dry in the winter thanks to its water-resistant fabric. It features a tail flap to prevent the wind from getting under your horse’s tail. Available in pony, cob and horse sizes. Cost at around £40.
