Celebrating its Diamond Jubilee year, the Charles Stanley Point-to-Point and Country Day returns to its historic location at Lockinge, near Wantage, on Bank Holiday Monday (1 April).
Etched into the fabric of the Berkshire sporting and social calendar this, not-to-be-missed event, promises an exciting day of Jump racing, Easter family entertainment and a new farmers’ market.
To celebrate this landmark year, the Old Berkshire Hunt is offering Horse & Hound friends the chance to win a premier parking pass, worth £35, PLUS a money-can’t-buy invitation to visit the stables of leading local Jumps trainer Oliver Sherwood.
Oliver Sherwood, who trains locally in Lambourn, has saddled over 800 winners including six Cheltenham Festival winners and is enjoying one of his most successful seasons of recent times with his exciting prospect Puffin Billy.
Set on the stunning Lambourn Downs, Oliver’s team have access to some of the country’s most outstanding gallops and in addition, the stable’s facilities include an equine swimming pool, horse walker and schooling areas.
Oliver Sherwood has offered the lucky winner and a guest of this competition a morning on the gallops to watch the horses exercise at his Rhonehurst Stables.
