Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother recently visited Capel Manor College, Middlesex, to open a garden planted by students to celebrate her Centenary.
To mark the royal occasion saddlery students had made bridles for two of the Queen Mother’s broodmares, Keel Row and Brand. Floristry students also made a flower sculpture depicting the end of a horse race in her honour.
The Queen Mother, who also toured the Animal Care section and met the working heavy horses, praised the students’ skill and craftsmanship.
