Moulton College’s higher education courses are ideal for school leavers and mature students alike
Moulton College’s Equine Open Day on Tuesday 26 March is a must for students looking for an equine-based higher education course.
The day will include demonstrations by dressage rider Ian Cast and showjumper Mia Korenika, while former students and representatives from Wetherbys and Dodson & Horrell will be on hand to discuss career paths and prospects.
The college offers a two-year HND in Equine and Estate Studies, plus an optional one-year “top up” course to a BSc Hons degree.
“The HND course is very practical and covers a wide range of business management skills as well as hands-on equine knowledge,” explains course manager Sally Hanrahan.
“Students who have completed the course should have the knowledge to go out and run a yard successfully.
“These courses are not only suitable for A-level school-leavers,” says Sally. “We would also welcome applications from mature students (over 21yrs) who have been away from the learning environment but would like to return.”
Moulton College, near Northampton, is a BHS-approved training and examination centre with facilities for 37 horses, including a 60m x 20m indoor school, two outdoor arenas 60mx 20m and 40m x 20m, plus an affiliated cross-country course.
