New show for dressage foals


  • International dressage rider and List Two judge Paul Hayler is holding a foal show at his Jubilee Farm home near Chelmsford in Essex for the first time on 2 September. The show is for foals with the breeding, conformation, temperament and potential to become top dressage horses and gets underway at 11am.

    Volker Brodhecker, owner of the famous Brodhecker-Burghof Stud, will be travelling from his German home to judge the foals. Volker Brodhecker was twice south German champion in riding horse and dressage horse classes and has qualified several horses for the Bunders Championship.

    Classes one and two will be open to colts and fillies born in 2006, and sired by the famous Burgof Stallions Freudenstern and Frenchman II. Classes three and four of the foal show are open to potential dressage foals with any breeding. The classes will be followed by a championship.

    The show is being supported by. Baileys Horse Feeds, Carrot Express and Equistro. Entries cost £10 per class and the closing date is 26 August, 2006.
