Changes to BHS exams


  • BHS students will be able to re-sit sections of their Stage IV and Equitation & Teaching exams from January 2002

    Candidates who take the Stage IV Care and Riding, either together or asseparate exams, and fail up to two riding sections will be eligible to apply to re-sit those sections only, from the beginning of next year.

    The modular re-take will be available from January 2002 onwards for the Stage IV “riding” section only.The BHS is hoping to run a Stage IV modular re-sit exam in October 2002.

    BHS Equitation & Teaching candidates who have taken the E&T between January 2000 and September 2001 will also be allowed to re-sit if they have failed no more than two sections.

    A candidate will be allowed two attempts at retaking sections of their E&T in this way. If they fail on both attempts, they will have to take the whole E&T exam again.

    The lecture subjects for individuals intending to take the BHS StableManager’s exam during 2002 will remain as: diversification within the equestrian business, staff motivation, and equine therapy and rehabilitation.
