Career advice for racing industry


  • anyone interested in a career in the Thorughbred breeding and racing industries should make for The National Stud Fair on 2 – 3 December.

    For the first time, the fair will host a careers bureau to give practical advice on how to train for emplyment on a stud or racing yard.

    Representatives from The British Stud Staff Training Scheme, British Racing School and British Horseracing Training Board will be on hand to answer questions.

    Student interested in training via the college routecan visit the stands of West oxfordshire College and Writtle College.

    All visitors to the careers bureau, aged between 16 and 24 will have the chance to enter a free draw. prizes include a Junior Annual Membership at Newmarket and an evening hunterchase meeting.

    Entry to the fair is £5 per car per day.
