BHS discount for students

  • The British Horse Society is offering students a special discount for exams and books

From September 2001 the British Horse Society is offering students who are in full-time training or education, a discount on membership, BHS exams and merchandise.

Students will be entitled to a 10% discount on any new Gold Membership, with other benefits including a 10% discount on examination fees and a 15% discount in the BHS bookshop.

College students who wish to take advantage of the scheme, must supply a copy of their National Union of Students (NUS) card and number, accompanied by a letter from their principal or head of department confirming their student status.

Students based at a riding school, training centre or competition yard who are in full-time training for BHS exams for a minimum of three months, or who are part of the BHS Apprenticeship Scheme, will also be eligible for the discount scheme.

Those students will also have to supply the appropriate BHS department with a letter from the proprietor or chief instructor of the establishment where they are training, confirming their student status and their course commencement and conclusion dates.
