At this year’s Barbury International Horse Trials and Show equine hero Kauto Star will be making a special guest appearance on Sunday 7 July. Forming a bumper schedule of activities, Kauto Star and Laura Collett will be performing a demonstration in the main arena with Yogi Breisner, World Class Performance Manager and Chef d’Equipe to the British eventing team.
Across the four days the eventing will take centre stage, culminating with the CIC3* cross-country in reverse order. Olympic fences that featured at last summer’s Olympic Games in Greenwich Park, including the Tower of London fence will form part of this year’s course.
Additionally, the Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) National Championships will be taking place with the dressage on Friday and the showjumping on Sunday. Top names from the world of showjumping are also expected to take part in three affiliated showjumping classes across Saturday and Sunday in the main arena.
The CGA Festival of Food on Saturday and Sunday will feature celebrity and local chefs including Brian Turner CBE of Ready Steady Cook fame. Additionally, visitors will be able to enjoy a food bonanza of hand and homemade produce from the region and beyond as well as innovative cookery ideas.
