Get ahead of the game and save money by booking your tickets early for this year’s Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials (5–8 September).

The Box Office opens on 1 May and early birds can take advantage of some fantastic savings by buying tickets in advance, online.

The action kicks off with two days of dressage on Thursday and Friday, then it’s time to fasten your seatbelts for Saturday’s cross-country action, when 80 horse and rider combinations will test their mettle around Burghley’s famous course.

The competition comes to its climax with showjumping on Sunday to decide the winner of the Land Rover Perpetual Challenge Trophy.

So here’s what you need to know: car admission costs £8 (£9 on cross-country day) in advance (online or via the box office) compared with £12 on the gate, while there are considerable savings on personal admission tickets.

For the two dressage days, tickets are £12.80 online in advance, £14.40 in advance via the box office or £16 on the gate. On cross-country day, tickets are £22 online in advance, £24 in advance via the box office and £27 on the gate. For Sunday’s final showjumping phase, prices are £12, £13 and £15 respectively.

If you are planning to attend on dressage or showjumping days you may want to purchase a grandstand ticket. These start at £10.50 and sell out quickly — even more reason to book early!
