Scott Brash to jump as individual in Madrid
Team GB showjumping team manager Rob Hoekstra has announced the British quartet to contest the team competition at the FEI European Showjumping Championships (13-18 September) in Madrid.
The team is:
- Ben Maher (Tripple X III)
- Nick Skelton (Carlo)
- John Whitaker (Peppermill)
- Guy Williams (Titus II)Scott Brash will ride Intertoy Z as an individual.All horses passed the vet’s inspection and Rob Hoekstra said: “We are in scorching heat here of 35 degrees which will be testing for both horse and rider.“The team are in great spirits and good health though; all are hoping to secure a win for Great Britain and looking forward to the challenge ahead”.Irish team manager Robert Splaine has also announced the Irish team:
- Shane Sweetnam (Amaretto Darco)
- Nicola FitzGibbon (Puissance)
- Denis Lynch (Lantinus)
- Billy Twomey (Tinka’s Serenade)
