British squad announced for showjumping Nations Cup
Olympic gold medallist Peter Charles heads a squad of 5 showjumpers heading to Sweden for the Nations Cup.
Joe Clee, Jessie Drea, Robert Whitaker and Spencer Roe complete a squad selected by British Showjumping performance manager Rob Hoekstra.
The competition, which is the 6th leg of the Furusiyya Nations Cup series, will be held on Friday 11 July in Falsterbo.
It will be the 2nd of 4 competitions that the team will be scoring league points aiming to reach the final and be included in next year’s series. The points scoring shows are Rome, Falsterbo, Hickstead and Dublin.
- Peter Charles with 12 year-old bay mare Murka’s Odie de Frevent (owned by Olga White and Team Murka)
- Joe Clee, and Utamaro d’Ecaussines a 10 year old bay stallion (owned by Ludwig Criel).
- Jessie Drea and Touchable, a 13 year-old chestnut mare (owned by Lynne Humphries and Equine America).
- Spencer Roe and Wonder Why, an 11-year-old bay gelding (owned by his mother Sally).
- Robert Whitaker, and 11 year-old brown stallion Catwalk IV (owned by his parents John and Clare)
