Hurricane Fly makes history: his wins in pics
Hurricane Fly has made history by winning a record 17 Grade 1 races.
The top hurdler, who is trained in Ireland by Willie Mullins, won the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown on Sunday (17 November).
The win was the 17th top-level victory for the 9-year-old gelding by Montjeu.
This puts him ahead of Kauto Star and US horse John Henry, who both notched up 16 Grade 1s in their careers.
Hurricane Fly has also won 2 Champion Hurdles (2011, 2013) and 3 Irish Champion Hurdles (2011,2012 and 2013).
