New feed launched for donkeys
Donkeys are to benefit from a new feed, designed especially for the species.
Top Spec’s “Donkey Forage Balancer” is designed to be fed from three weeks and provides essential vitamins and minerals to balance forage.
And for every bag of the new feed sold, Top Spec will donate £1 to the The Donkey Sanctuary.
“Until this point, there have been no commercially available forage balancers specifically designed for donkeys, a statistic which we have been keen to put right,” said Faith Burden at The Donkey Sanctuary.
“This new feed will not only provide a readily-available product that owners can use to supplement donkeys’ diets, but with £1 from each bag sold going to the sanctuary, the product will help suffering donkeys worldwide.”
TopSpec’s Nicola Tyler added: “Donkeys have evolved to do well on a very low intake of energy and protein.
“The forage that donkeys eat in UK homes today is very different to that found in their natural desert environment.

“This feed provides a tailored formula of micronutrients in a palatable pellet, making it simple for owners to improve the quality of life enjoyed by their donkeys.”
