  • Conscious not all riders want to wear tall boots, Ariat has introduced a new half chap to its equestrian footwear range.

“Many riders simply prefer the feel of half chaps and boots and this is why we have introduced a new chap to our collection,” said a spokesman from the company.

The Ariat Chorus half chaps have been designed to give the appearance of a tall boot, with a high Spanish cut topline to elongate the leg.

They are made from an unlined full-grain outer leather panel to give a close contact feel with the horse.

The company says an oiled leather inner panel gives durability and lower leg security, while a stretch skirt over the instep adds to the competition-ready finish.

The new chaps come in a range of sizes (from XXS to XL), heights and width fittings.

They come in black only and cost £99.99.
