  • Irish clothing company Jack Murphy has added new tweed items to its range for this winter.

The Aurnia jacket (below) and Mable gilet combine tweed with faux fur, and the longer Harriet coat (right) is available in polka dot or penrith check tweed.

There is also a three-piece tweed suit which features the Amber gilet, Charlotte pencil skirt and Millie Jacket.

“Tweed proved to be the trend at last weekend’s The Open meeting at Cheltenham racecourse (16-18 November), as racegoers celebrated the National Hunt season,” said a Jack Murphy spokesman.

“This is the perfect time of year for flaunting statement tweed pieces.”

Jack Murphy’s tweed collection also includes the Athea mittens (below) and Holly earmuffs.

Prices start at £24.99 for the mittens and go up to £210 for the Harriet coat.
