The cream contains the essential oils of lavender and chamomile, combined with cocoa butter, wheatgerm oil, beeswax, avocado oil and calendula extract.

This is a useful cream for people who spend a lot of time outside, says the company, to be applied before and after a session on the yard or riding out.

“Our barrier cream helps soften skin and reduce chapping,” said Peter Carroll of Amphora Aromatics.

The cream is priced at £5.95 for 60ml.
