Organisers of the appeal set up to support a vet struck off for backdating vaccination entries on racehorse passports have been stunned by the positive reaction to their cause.

Dr Alan Walker was struck off by the disciplinary panel of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (news, 8 February) and afterwards told H&H that he intended to appeal to the government’s Privy Council.
