Riding centres urged to apply for funding

  • Riding centres are being encouraged to apply for funding to improve facilities, after Sport England announced that an extra £40million of Olympic legacy money is available.

Investment can be used to update facilities as well as to convert existing buildings. Some £71million has already been invested from the National Lottery in the first four rounds of funding.

Riding centres should definitely go for this,” said a spokesman for the British Equestrian Federation. “Murton EC in Newcastle benefited in the last round for refurbishing of its indoor arena and had an official opening last week.”
