Pony stolen from a field in Bedfordshire
The owner of a pony in Bedfordshire is appealing for information after it was stolen from a field in Sundon last Wednesday (11 June).
The pony, called Polly, is a 13.3hh fell/Welsh pony and was stolen between midnight and 7am from the field in Sundon.
Police report that “unknown offenders cut a hole in the fence and made off in an unknown direction”.
The 18-year-old mare is bay with dappled markings on her shoulders and hindquarters. The pony has a white blaze and is missing a shoe from her right front hoof.
A spokesman for Bedfordshire police told H&H: “It is plainly extremely upsetting for the owner. We’re keen to apprehend the offenders and if anyone is offered a pony that fits Polly’s description they should contact us on 01234 841212.”
