Nominate equestrian companies for BETA business awards 2012

  • Do you have a favourite equestrian retailer? Is there a nutritional helpline you think offers the best advice?

The British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) is asking the public to nominate companies for a 2012 BETA business award.

Categories the public can have a voice in are the SEIB retailer of the year — for tack shops and feed merchants — and the Haygain nutritional helpline of the year.

“The awards have continued to grow over the past nine years and reflect developments in the business world,” said BETA’s Claire Williams.

“We have seen a marked increase in nominations year-upon-year and a keen desire to win. The SEIB retailer of the year Award and the Haygain nutritional helpline of the year are a fantastic way for members of the public to recognise and reward members of the equestrian trade.”

To nominate a retailer visit www.retaileroftheyear.org.uk by 6 December. All nominated retailers will receive a questionnaire from BETA, which should be completed and returned by 31 December.

And to nominate a nutritional helpline visit: www.haygain.com and download the form by 11 January 2012.

Nominees will then shortlisted, before receiving visits from a mystery shopper and anonymous calls. A final winner will be selected by a panel of BETA trade members.

When sending nominations you will need to provide the name of the person/company nominated, the award, your reason for nomination and your own name and address.

The awards will be presented at the BETA gala dinner in Birmingham on Sunday 19 February 2012.
