A horse has died in California after becoming impaled on a fence.
It is not known how the horse came to be injured by the wooden stake sticking out of a fence on Monday evening (30 March) in Felton.
Firefighters attended to take the horse to a local veterinary hospital but it died shortly after it arrived there.
One of the firefighters told local press that the horse had a piece of broken fencing imbedded in its chest.
