H&H reveals 2016 guest editors

  • Four top riders will step into the hot seat at Horse & Hound in March, guest editing our spring sport specials.

Australia’s 2014 Badminton winner Sam Griffiths will lead the eventing special (3 March), followed by Horse of the Year Show show hunter champion Robert Walker taking over for the showing issue (17 March).

London 2012 team gold medallist Laura Tomlinson heads up our dressage special (24 March).

2007 Hickstead Derby winner Geoff Billington rounds out the quartet in our showjumping issue (31 March).

Laura said: “I am excited to have been given the chance to guest edit for H&H, it’s a great opportunity to discuss some ideas and issues within our sport. I hope people find the pieces engaging and informative.”

Content director Sarah Jenkins said: “We’re thrilled that four of our audience’s most loved and admired riders have agreed to take the helm at H&H.

“The insight that top riders bring to the magazine week after week is taken to another level in those issues that are guest edited by athletes at the top of their game with strong, informed opinions on the disciplines they are so passionate about.”

Eventing editor and acting print director Pippa Roome added: “Sam and I met last week [pictured, above] and I was impressed by how much homework he had done — he has lots of great ideas.

“Having riders so closely involved is a great opportunity for us to bring fresh eyes to what we do and I can’t wait to see what they produce.”
