Equi-Sport horseboxes reported to Advertising Standards Authority

  • An advertisement by Equi-Sport Horseboxes, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, has been reported to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

The owner of a horsebox made by the company complained to the ASA that a photograph of his box had been used by Equi-Sport in an advert on the company’s website on 26 May.

The complaint was that the photograph showed his box’s registration number clearly and that he had not given his permission for the green and silver van to be used in advertising.

Equi-Sport Horseboxes did not reply to the complaint, the ASA has stated in its adjudication report.

The complaint was upheld by the ASA and the photograph must be removed from the website or the license plate number obscured.
