BETA Retailer of the Year awards announced

  • The British Equestrian Trade Association’s (BETA) “Retailer of the Year” awards — designed to recognise outstanding customer service — were presented at the association’s gala dinner on 17 February.

All four awards were sponsored by equestrian insurance brokers SEIB.

Aivly Country Store in Hampshire won the “Large Retailer” award. “The staff are so helpful and well informed, and really go out of their way to assist you,” said a nominator.

The saddlery and leisurewear shop Tower Farm, in Warwickshire, was awarded the “Medium Retailer” title. And the “Small Retailer” award went to equestrian and pet suppliers Alan’s Ark in Cambridgeshire.

For a third year in a row Lancashire-based Supplement Solutions claimed the “Mail Order/ Internet Retailer” title. The company specialises in equine supplements and wormers. “There is a huge choice of products and prices are kept as low as possible,” said a judge.

“The website is easy to navigate and the search facility makes it easy to identify products.”
