New waterproof stretch jacket from Ariat

Ariat is due to launch its first waterproof stretch jacket which will be available in September 2014.

The new “Highland” is the first jacket to use the V3 fit system, a patented technology already used in Ariat’s breeches collection.

The winter jacket has a waterproof stretch shell outer with sealed seams and Thermore synthetic insulation for warmth.

Other features include back vents, adjustable storm cuffs and collar, a two-way zipper, chest pockets and a removable hood sized to fit over a riding hat.

“Ariat has done extensive research to create a brand new item of outdoor apparel,” said a company spokesman.

The jacket comes in coffee bean colour, sizes XS-XL, priced £199.
