The Countryside Alliance Women’s Vigil,a protest timed to coincide with the third reading of the Hunting Bill in the House of Commons, is attracting support from a number of high-profile ladies in equestrian disciplines ranging from polo to dressage.

The vigil has been organised to raise awareness of the fact that women and children would be most likely to suffer if jobs are lost due to a ban on hunting. It will take place close to the Houses of Parliament in the lead up to and on the day of the third reading, likely to be either 10 or 17 March.
