Forget cheese and pickle sandwiches and a bag of crisps for lunch. Spectators that entered the Land Rover Tailgate Picnic Competition took al fresco dining to another level at last weekend’s Burghley Horse Trials (4-7 September 2014).

Zara Phillips — just back from clinching the eventing team silver medal at the World Equestrian Games — and TV presenter Matt Baker were in charge of the judging duties for the third running of this competiton, and after some tough decisions Lucy Sharpley, Harry Horrell and friends were named the winners.
