Glitz and glamour at CHI Al Shaqab: in pics

“This venue is fantastic — nothing has been spared,” said showjumper Shane Breen, who had made his first visit to Al Shaqab in Doha last week. And he was spot on.

From the size of the arenas, to the number of warm-up rings, air-conditioned stables and bling VIP area, everything was bigger and bolder in Qatar. Walkways were swept, railings polished and seats dusted — leaving you wondering whether Qatari horses ever saw mud.
