International trial for top dressage riders
The Berkeley Group plc, one of Britain’s leading property developers, will sponsor the latest addition to the British Dressage calendar – the Berkeley International Trials.
The International Trials will be open to riders who are in the running for a place on a British Team and will take place at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire on the 28-29 April 2001.
Over the two days there will be classes at Grand Prix, Young Rider, Junior and Pony level as well as Young Horse Classes, bringing the topBritish riders and horses together at one competition.
British Dressage chairman of selectors, Jane Kidd said: “Tough competition in Britain with all our top riders riding against each other is what we need to prepare better for the championships. This is a development we have been working for over the past year and it is wonderful that, with the Berkeley Group’s support, we can bring in the top international judges, give generous rewards and make it the sort of prestigious event that is found in Europe.”
