  • The world’s best racehorse, Frankel, retired in a blaze of glory last month — when he won his 14th consecutive race.

Frankel fever gripped the racing world, and to celebrate his achievements a book and DVD have been released.

The four-year-old racehorse, trained by Sir Henry Cecil took the Champion Stakes at Ascot (20 October) by a length and three quarters, retiring unbeaten.

He is now expected to stand at his owner/breeder Khalid Abudulla’s Banstead Stud.

Frankel — The Official Story is out on DVD from 26 November.

During the DVD, from Equestrian Vision, fans can relive his 14 wins from 14 starts in a 55minute film.

It costs £16.99 and can be bought at www.horseandhound.co.uk/shop

And for book lovers, Frankel: The Wonder Horse will be for sale on 16 November.

The book is published by Racing Post Books and has a foreword by Sir Peter O’Sullevan. It is made up of reports, features and photos chronicling the four-year-old’s career.

It costs £20 and available from www.racingpost.com/shop
