Scottish Premier SJ show saved

  • The Scottish Premier Show (21-23 March) has been rescued from cancellation by a new team, following Renfrewshire Show Promotions decision to pull out from running BSJA shows in Scotland this year.

The show, which takes place at Gleneagles, will now be run by Andrew Bonnelli-Baird from Dabbs Equestrian Centre, Liz Smith, organiser of the popular King of the Ring series, and Tony Lithgow of the Scottish Home Pony International team.

As well as a £1,000-to-the-winner grand prix and Royal International and Blue Chip qualifiers, the schedule includes chances to gain places atthis year’s Royal Highland Show and the Scope Festival.

“We felt that Scotland should not lose its Premier Show and, although we don’t have much time to take it over, we’re determined to make this a weekend to remember,” said Andrew Bonnelli-Baird.
